Now you have your brilliant idea, but do you know who it is for, why it needs to exist, how you are different and why you are uniquely positioned to execute? Even if you do have that information swimming around we all need a solid editor. Together we’ll craft the message and story of your brand and map it back to specific customer profiles so that you can speak directly to the people that would most benefit from what you have to offer and are waiting to hear what you’re about. Positioning will lay the foundation and groundwork for the communication of your brand, messaging will be the words you say, your tone, your vibe.
So you’ve got a brand, a concept, a great idea, but what do you call it? I offer naming discovery based on the initial brand positioning that we’ll create or previously existing. Similar to how a logo design is not created independent of reason and intentionality (the blue is not present in that logo simply because it looks nice), there is a reason and rationale all hopefully directing the potential customer to think about your brand in the way you want to communicate. Naming work will typically include 4-6 territories or themes, and initial domain and social handles availability. Some notable projects have included lifestyle brands in the spheres of music festivals, jewelry and furniture companies, art collectives, home services, luxury residences, and more.
You’ve got the name, the strategy, the vision – now you just have to get the word out and tell people about your brand. I create wireframes that will address how you want to guide your potential customers across your site and the actions that you desire them to take. I will also develop the content and copy adhering to your brand voice that will be featured throughout your site. I also work with other fellow independent developers and designers, so should you need more robust features that require that type of expertise that service can also be provided and creative directed and project managed by me to ensure that everything is on point and on brand.
There are a host of ways to communicate your brand, product, and/or service offering. With each medium you choose – from websites to blogs to social – all content should be consistent and on brand. Your brand doesn’t change depending on which audience you are speaking to, yet the way you communicate and the parts of your brand that you choose to highlight may vary depending on who you are speaking to. Together we’ll determine the goals, the actions we desire your customers or influencers to take and craft copy that is clear, concise and all in your unique brand voice, tone and style.
Often your branding architecture is only as successful as your team that will continue to execute it and speak in your constructed brand voice and vibe. I work with individuals and teams to fully understand how to communicate the brand internally and externally and continue a consistent coherent message long after the initial brand strategy work is complete. I will leave you with a framework and tools to consider the brand as a personality that will evolve as your company and the people that comprise your company grows and expands. My training in brand strategy, public relations, yoga and mindfulness allows me to work with C-level suite executives individually as well as teams within a company to better communicate their needs and objectives so that all team members are empowered to do their best work and stay on message – one brand, one team, one vision.
